The NSW Aboriginal Community Controlled Registered Training Organisation (ACCRTO) Alliance (aka “the Alliance”) was established to be the Aboriginal voice to the New South Wales Government and non-government organisations on matters concerning Vocational Education and Training (VET).
The Alliance partners with Community Colleges Australia (CCA), Independent Tertiary Education Council Australia (ITECA) and the Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG) to advocate for and guide the implementation of VET policies that enhance opportunities for Aboriginal communities in NSW.

Aboriginal Community Controlled Registered Training Organisations (ACCRTOs) are vital institutions within the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector. These RTOs are governed by a non-for-profit model, ensuring that all revenue is reinvested directly into Aboriginal services. Managed by an Aboriginal board of directors, ACCRTOs provide holistic cultural education tailored specifically to the needs of Aboriginal people.

By fostering an educational environment that is both inclusive and culturally sensitive, ACCRTOs help to bridge educational gaps and support the professional and personal development of Aboriginal individuals, ultimately contributing to the broader goal of closing the gap in educational and employment outcomes
