The NSW Aboriginal Community Controlled Registered Training Organisation (ACCRTO) Alliance (aka “the Alliance”) was established to be the Aboriginal voice to the New South Wales Government and non-government organisations on matters concerning Vocational Education and Training (VET).
• Advocacy: We provide a united voice for Aboriginal Community Controlled RTOs, advocating for policy changes that benefit Aboriginal VET learners.
• Collaboration: Partnering with government bodies, such as the Department of Education and TAFE NSW, and non-government agencies to improve Aboriginal VET.
• Policy Influence: We ensure ACCRTOs are included in consultations and prioritised in VET funding strategies like the National Skills Agreement.
• Culturally Relevant Training: Delivering high-quality, culturally appropriate VET programs that meet the unique needs of Aboriginal learners.
• Resource Sharing: Facilitating resource sharing and joint initiatives to support shared educational goals.
• Supporting Close the Gap: Assisting the government with the implementation of the Close the Gap initiative in VET and workforce development
